2019 Thanksgiving Day Picks
Week 11 was not a spectacular week by either of our pickers, but Brandon was able to gain two more games on Dan as we head into Week 12 and the Thanksgiving holiday…
Standings after Week 12
Brandon Reid: 108-67-1
Dan Schalk: 102-73-1
Bears at Lions
Dan Schalk: Chicago Bears. The Lions are trotting out non-NFL caliber QB’s to lead their team on Thursday–Chicago might be struggling, but not as much as Detroit. Bears win and cover the -3 spread.
Brandon Reid: Chicago Bears. I do not trust the Lions offense, especially with Jeff Driskel at QB. Ugly, ugly game to kick off Turkey Day.
Bills at Cowboys
Dan Schalk: Dallas Cowboys. I am a die-hard Cowboys fan born and raised in Buffalo, NY. The Bills are one of the worst 8-3 teams ever in the history of the NFL and the Cowboys (who I do not believe are really that good) will give the Buffalo a whooping for Thanksgiving. I’m thankful I grew up a Cowboys fan instead of a Bills fan.
Brandon Reid: Dallas Cowboys. My bold prediction this Thanksgiving is… the Cowboys will beat down and stuff the Bills. Forget what you know about the Bills defense. The Cowboys will be lit at home and Buffalo will not be able to keep up. Cowboys make big plays, and win 34-14.
Saints at Falcons
Dan Schalk: New Orleans Saints. After two games where it looked like the Falcons would turn their season around (slightly) they reverted back to their terrible-selves. New Orleans rolls on the road in a lower-scoring affair than most would predict.
Brandon Reid: New Orleans Saints. I have to believe, this late in the season, the better team, is just the better team. I thought the Atlanta defense had turn it around, but I’m not convinced. Saints outscore the Falcons in a shootout that could awake us from our Turkey Day, night slumber.
