I won't go on-and-on about this series. Whether it was the Nuggets or the Trail Blazers--they aren't beating Golden State. Watching Game 7 of the Denver series showed me all I need to see--Damian Lillard is not a Top 3 player and he and his team will be bounced quickly. CJ McCollum may make this a 5-game series with heroics like we saw in the series-clinching game against the Nugs.

Although this season series was split 2-2, I don't see Portland having enough star power and scoring each night to seriously contend. They would need Lillard, McCollum, Harkless, Hood, Turner, and Curry to all have great scoring nights. The loss of Nurkic may have actually helped the Blazers this post season, as now they can get up and down and let it fly. The problem is that if Durant plays, they have no answer for him. Draymond will also play his usual antagonist role and be a matchup problem as well. If we're talking about a 2-on-2 pickup game with Dame & McCollum vs. Curry & Klay...I'm taking the champs all day. I see Portland winning a game at home with hot shooting and maybe a ton of free throws, but I don't see them wining a game in May at Golden State.

It would be a nice story to see the Trail Blazers step up and dethrone the Golden State Warriors, but Steve Kerr and his team are much more experienced in moments like these. Warriors head back to the NBA Finals after beating Portland in six games.

This will be a great match between the two best guard duos in the NBA. However, Portland needs Kanter as their 3rd option to be most effective. Kanter forces them to slow their offense down too much against the fast paced Warriors.
