5 Characters Teen Wolf Should Bring Back in 6B
The final episodes of Teen Wolf are being filmed right now and rumors are flying about who’s going to show up. Earlier this month, there were reports that Dylan O’Brien and Tyler Hoechlin were spotted on set tossing around a baseball. Teen Wolf Executive Producer and writer, Jeff Davis said that more familiar faces than fans are probably expecting may show up. Since we haven’t gotten an official word beyond a few new characters, fans will just have to wait a little longer for answers. Here are the five characters I think the series should bring back sometime during the last ten episodes.
The beta turned alpha and back again was Scott’s mentor of sorts early on. He was a frenemy and then a friend and pack member. When we saw him last and then end of season four, Derek had just gained the ability to shift completely into a wolf after evolving. Derek was the first werewolf Scott interacted with besides Peter who bit him. He was also a favorite of many fans. It just seems right to have him return for the end of the series.
A few fans have wondered if Hoechlin’s schedule could be an issue, but there’s no word on whether he’ll appear on CW’s Supergirl again as Superman. We do know he finished filming on Domestics in December. His next project, Voltage, doesn’t begin production until April. The Vampire Diaries‘ Nina Dobrev and Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams are also set to star in the film.
The young kitsune was sorely needed when the pack took on the Ghost Riders because of her ability to control electricity. Hello, she’s a thunder kitsune! Instead, the amazing swordswoman was out in the desert learning how to control the fox within. Her mother and her sword even made an appearance in 6B. If anyone could teach her how to control her fox it would be her 900-year-old mother. Kira should be able to come home sooner and finish up her training with her family. This includes being with her friends and boyfriend, Scott.
The question is whether Arden will return if asked. Arden loved playing Kira, but her exit from the series wasn’t her choice and fans of both the actress and her Teen Wolf character weren’t pleased with the way it went down. Fingers crossed.
The beta and Scott grew close, especially after he moved into the McCall household in season three. Fans were bummed when Issac left for France with Chris Argent after Allison’s death, especially because he never came back. It feels weird that his storyline was completely forgotten. It’s understandable that the writers wrote him out after Daniel Sharman asked to leave the show, but to act like the character doesn’t exist is bad writing. Who leaves an orphaned teenager in France alone?
Danny paved the way for Mason and Corey, being Teen Wolf’s first openly gay character. When it was revealed that he knew about the existence of the supernatural, I was expecting him to be more involved. It turned out that he just vanished after graduation. His explanation of “It’s Beacon Hills,” wasn’t enough. We could have gotten a pretty hilarious interrogation scene where Scott and Stiles try to find out how he knew. Even if we don’t see Danny, I would at least appreciate a mention. Is the guy still alive and happy in college somewhere?
Dr. Alan Deaton
Deaton wasn’t just Scott’s boss, but a father figure for the true alpha. That’s why it’s confusing that his appearances became rare in the last season and a half. The pack used to go to Deaton for answers and medical needs. Now they just seemed to find all kind of information online and in the bestiary or know the cure to Ghost Rider injuries off of the top of their head (Yeah, I’m talking about Chris). Deaton was sort of their emissary. Without him, they really shouldn’t have done as well as they did in 6A. Scott is going to need some post-high school and veterinarian school advice. Who better to give it to him than Deaton?
