Week 1 of the NFL season is in the books, and the multi-million dollar quarterback Aaron Rodgers looked like he was possibly about to be out for an extended period of time injuring his knee in the first half on Sunday night. In the second quarter fans held their breaths as they watched Bears lineman, Roy Robertson Harris fall on the left knee of Rodgers, which was the same knee that he’s had surgically repaired twice in the past.

The Bears seemed dominant. Tarik Cohen was outplaying Jordan Howard early on, oh and how about Khalil Mack? He went off on Sunday– regardless of the outcome and made Jon Gruden look like a fool on live television. He was a monster the entire first half and had a pick six. The second half is when this game seemed over, the crowd was dead and Aaron Rodgers came back to the field hobbling. A few drives later and that 0-20 deficit was no more.

The protection was better, the crowd came to life, and that 75-yard dagger to Randall Cobb to steal away the game was exactly what football fans needed to end the Sunday games. No word as of yet of Rodgers is playing in Week 2 against Minnesota, but if he intends to, the protection must remain the same as it was in the second half against Chicago. That Minnesota defense is also the reason why Aaron Rodgers missed out on significant time last season, with a broken collarbone.
