Danny Farquhar signs minor league deal with Yankees
(NBC Sports)

Last April, Danny Farquhar had a brain hemorrhage from a ruptured aneurysm causing him to collapse during a game in the White Sox dugout. He was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery. It could’ve killed him, obviously, and there was a belief he may never pitch again.

He’s recovered well, though, and will try to return to the majors with the Yankees. The Yankees have signed the right-hander to a minor league deal with an invitation to Spring Training.

It won’t be easy as the Yankees have the best bullpen in the majors, but he’s an insurance policy if injuries were to strike.

We wish Danny the best of luck in his return to the mound.
