Early Sunday morning, the Boston Celtics agreed to a 2-year deal to re-sign center Aron Baynes. In his first year in Boston, Baynes averaged 6.0 points and 5.4 rebounds in 18.3 minutes per game. After starting a career-high 67 games regular season games last season, Baynes will mostly be coming off the bench this upcoming year with both Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving expected to be fully healthy for the 2018-2019 season. Baynes’ offensive numbers may not jump off the page, however, he is a good defender and should be able to bring that type of impact again next season.
