Boogie Cousins to the Warriors confirmed!
Why even bother showing up next season if you’re the other 31 NBA teams. Forget Lebron going to the Lakers. That’s still a solid team that’s continuing to add pieces, and depth to its core, but now the momentum has shifted yet again, to the Golden State Warriors. Super star center Demarcus ‘Boogie’ Cousins agreed to a one-year deal with the Warriors worth $5.3 million dollars–the mid-level exception.
You’ve read that right. Never mind Dwight Howard, whom by the way had a nice season with Charlotte, the Warriors got themselves a true All-Star that’s coming off an Achilles injury, and won’t be ready to play until late December early January, so no rush there with the already stacked Warriors squad.
Cousins sat with Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated and told him that he was upset and hurt, that no other teams made him an offer, especially his former team the New Orleans Pelicans. So over the weekend, Cousins thought about his situation wondering if his injury would really affect his value, and talked to his agent, as Cousins narrowed down his two choices between Golden State and Boston.
Monday evening the internet broke, and the NBA “broke” according to a few people, with Cousins reaching out to the Warriors president of basketball operations, Bob Myers about joining the team–and the rest was history. Cousins does have chemistry already with the other starting four members of the Warriors, as he shared the court with them as part of the 2016 Team USA squad.https://www.myfantasysportstalk.com/boogie-cousins-to-the-warriors-confirmed/https://i0.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Boogie-Cousins.png?fit=550%2C309&ssl=1https://i0.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Boogie-Cousins.png?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1BasketballGolden State WarriorsNBANew Orleans PelicansPacific DivisionSouthwest DivisionBoogie Cousins,DeMarcus Cousins,Golden State Warriors,LA Lakers,NBA,New Orleans PelicansWhy even bother showing up next season if you’re the other 31 NBA teams.
