Just as I wrote up the other day on the news of Jon “Bones” Jones returning to the octagon shockingly more news was out shortly after. (I wasn’t really shocked). I was listening to Joe Rogan’s Podcast and he had the man himself, the head of USADA, Jeff Novitzki on. Novitzky was simply asked if he believes that Jon Jones was innocent with his current drug charge going on, and his answer was a simple yes.

Again this isn’t some random guest giving his opinion on this case, Novitzky is in charge of the UFC drug testing program. Jones manager, Malki Kawa, is already confirming that Jones is getting ready to return to the octagon very soon in a series of tweets and social media posts.

But of course fight fans around the globe are not the only ones anticipating the return of Jones as quickly as possible, the other man is Daniel Cormier. Last time we saw Cormier in the octagon was the last time we saw Jon Jones, as Jones demolished Cormier and took the light heavyweight championship yet again. Cormier has a a big fight coming up January 20th for UFC 220 in his first title defense against Volkan Oezdemir, and with all the buzz surrounding Jones, obviously Cormier got asked about his thoughts on the matter.

“C’mon, you know me,” Cormier said. “I’m the guy who runs through a wall constantly just to try and break it. I won’t go around it, I’ll keep running through the wall. So, what do you think I’m hoping for?”

So there you have it folks. All we’re waiting for is an official statement from the UFC and that can come at any moment now.
