Power Forward, Brandon Bass, has agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. The terms of the deal are not known at this time as the Lakers try to figure out other transactions. Bass, a ten year veteran, has spent the last four seasons with the Boston Celtics where he spent time as a starter, as well as a reserve player. Last season, Bass put up over 10 points and 5 rebounds per game in just over 23 minutes a night. With Boston, Bass was a reliable mid range shooter, who also gave value to the team with his ability to guard multiple positions.

The one aspect of Bass that might be overlooked is his ability to stay healthy. Over the past three seasons Bass has only missed one game. For a Lakers team that saw their best player, Kobe Bryant, as well as their 2014 top draft pick, Julius Randle, go down with season ending injuries, having a player like Bass should give their front court a reliable option. Bass is not going to put up All-Star numbers, but he will provide Los Angeles with a consistent contributor who should help on both ends of the floor on a night to night basis.
