The Marlins are getting a jump-start to the fire sale that is about to happen. Before they trade Giancarlo Stanton, Derek Jeter and the Marlins front office have unloaded Dee Gordon to the Seattle Mariners. Terms of the deal are not yet known according to Ken Rosenthal:

 

The first question that comes to mind: What will the Mariners do with Gordon and Robinson Cano, who both play second base? More DH opportunities for Cano? A position switch for one of them in store?

UPDATE: Per a report from SiriusXM radio is that Dee Gordon will play CF for the Mariners next season.
