After six seasons with the Buffalo Bills, Aaron Williams has officially been released.

The last two years have been tumultuous ones for the fan favorite. Both seasons ended early due to serious neck injuries, while his future playing in the NFL was left in doubt. Though reportedly healthy it seems the veteran safety will have to sign elsewhere in order to resume his career.

In his best years (2013 and 2014) Williams accumulated 75 or more tackles per year and a total of five interceptions.

Only 26 years old Williams may still have plenty left in the tank. However, he has appeared in just 10 games over the last two seasons.

The Buffalo Bills save approximately $1.7 million in cap space by cutting the former second round pick.
