Buffalo Bills latest signings
Well, free agency has continued for the Buffalo Bills with a pair of signings today. The team has also released TE Scott Chandler, who was a fan favorite in Buffalo, but it seems to have become quite clear as to why he was released. The Bills are planning on making an offer for the services of TE Charles Clay from the Miami Dolphins, but are also showing interest in TE Anthony Fasano, who is also a former Dolphin.
Here are the two latest players to sign with the Buffalo Bills today:
According to multiple sources, including Bills coach Rex Ryan, Taylor is now a member of the Buffalo Bills. While contract figures have yet to be released, this signing came as a surprise to many people. Offensive coordinator, Greg Roman, likes to use a mobile quarterback, and Taylor might provide a nice change of pace from Matt Cassel and E.J. Manuel. He is highly unproven in his five-year career, but it’s hard to get playing time behind QB Joe Flacco.
Marcus Easley–Wide Receiver
Easley chose to re-sign with the Bills, though he had interest from multiple teams. His new contract is a four-year, $7M dollar deal to remain with the Bills. He is a special teams threat, but might provide a spark on offense if he can stay healthy.
Jarius Wynn–Defensive End
Wynn also chose to re-sign with the Bills today, and signed a two-year deal worth $2.2M. He will see time at defensive end, opposite of DE Mario Williams, and gives them depth at the position.
Apparently, WR Percy Harvin is still present at the Bills facility for a second consecutive day today. If Harvin signs with the Bills, that would give them another threat on offense, as well as provide a great partner for WR Marquise Goodwin on kick returns.
