Isaiah Thomas couldn’t be that hero the hometown needed to pull of the win. He struggled for most of the game as defenders swarmed him every time he touched the ball, he finished with 17 points on 7-of-19 shooting. Jae Crowder and Avery Bradley stepped up each scoring at least 20, but the final score of 114-107 represented how much the Celtics struggled and trailed for the game. Kelly Olynyk was surprisingly quiet. The Celtics need more out of their big man if they really expect to challenge the Cavs, because 2 points isn’t going to cut it.

Stay clear of the lane! LeBron James had 26 of his 38 points in the paint, no one was able to stop him from scoring regardless of who dared to get in the way. Kevin Love went off, scoring 32 points and nearly half of his points were from the three ball as he hit six three-pointers. Both Love and James combined for 70 points. Kyrie Irving did reach double-figures with 11, but that was all he needed. Any more scoring would’ve sent the crowd home earlier. Tristan Thompson also got into the action scoring 20 points.

If there’s anything the Celtics have it’s heart, especially with Isaiah Thomas. The chance of them pulling off an upset is very slim, but I won’t count out Boston from making this a six game series.
