Champions League Group G Prediction
Two groups of the Champions League to go, and this one holds the defending champions. Let’s see how this group is stacked and who could come out on top.
Group G: Real Madrid, AS Roma, CSKA Moskva, Viktoria Plzen
Real Madrid will no doubt win this group. Despite the fact they don’t have Cristiano Ronaldo or Zinedine Zidane leading the team, they’ve got plenty of firepower to charge a good title defense. Gareth Bale remained with the team, and young star Marco Asensio has assumed Ronaldo’s role at left wing. With FIFA Men’s Player of the Year Luka Modric in the side as well, Los Blancos are heading for a good shot at five straight Champions League titles.
Roma lost a goalkeeping stallion in Allison Becker. Nevertheless, Roma are still a good team that have a good shot at second spot. When it comes to competition, there’s no question Madrid will be too tough to overcome, even though Madrid have shown they could be beaten by less talented clubs. Roma can get past the other two clubs as long as they stick to their formula that got them far last season.
CSKA Moskva have shown flashes over the years, and sure they could get a result. But in the long run they don’t seem like a team that could capitalize on the chances they might get.
Viktoria Plzen just don’t seem a capable team to make enough noise in this group.
Stay tuned for the final Group.
