Chris Copeland’s Stock on the Rise
Time to think about grabbing Chris Copeland on your fantasy team. The Indiana Pacers forward is on a tear to start the year, let’s look at the start to his 2014 season.
Game 1 vs 76ers: 26 minutes, 11 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block
Game 2 vs. Grizzlies: 31 minutes, 16 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists
Game 3 vs. Hawks: 34 minutes, 21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block
With the minutes Copeland is receiving in Frank Vogel’s rotation he has clear fantasy value. Copeland is averaging 16 PPG, 5 RPG, and 3 APG. Not bad numbers for a player that could not get playing time on the Pacers last year.
Copeland was signed as a restricted free agent from the Knicks in the summer of 2013,but never made an impact. Due to all the injuries the Pacers are facing to start the year Copeland is showing he is worthy of the minutes. Paul George is not expected back this year and that will mean Copleand should not lose playing time in Indiana.
There are rumors circulating that the Knicks might be interested in a reunion with the 30 year old forward via trade, but so far that is just speculation. If available in your league, definitely scoop him up while he is putting up these numbers.https://www.myfantasysportstalk.com/chris-copelands-stock-rise/BasketballNews and UpdatesIndiana PacersTime to think about grabbing Chris Copeland on your fantasy team.
