Clippers land Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in massive deal
While most of America was sleeping, the NBA was in full swing as the Clippers were able to acquire both Kawhi and PG in perhaps the biggest day in the history of the Los Angeles Clippers.
The stars are definitely shining bright in Hollywood after today’s free agency splash. A year after being traded to Toronto Raptors from the San Antonio Spurs, and another championship later, Kawhi is yet again packing his bags. This time he’s leaving the North and heading south, to his home state, California.

Leonard is expected to sign a four-year, $142 million maximum contract with the Clippers. This comes not long after Anthony Davis was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, and most people expected Leonard to be sporting the purple and gold as well.
The Clippers did not stop there, LA made a huge splash by being able to pair Leonard with Paul George. Leonard was working hard to get George to the Clippers, and when push came to shove, the Oklahoma City Thunder made a tough decision that would send the basketball world in a frenzy.

In exchange for the NBA All-Star, the Thunder are receiving Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari and five first-round picks. There were several reports stating that George was not getting along with former MVP Russell Westbrook, and just like Kevin Durant, George was the latest superstar to move on from playing alongside with Westbrook.
Both Leonard and George had impressive seasons in the 2018-2019 NBA season, and now that both of these superstars will be paired up, they look to take the Los Angeles Clippers to their first NBA finals appearance in history.
