The Dallas Cowboys seem to be leaning towards a running back-by-committee approach, signing former sixth round pick of the Redskins, Lache Seastrunk. The former Baylor Bear is added to a roster full of backs that include Joseph Randle, Lance Dunbar, Darren McFadden and Ryan Williams. With a full-slate of OTA’s and training camp ahead, the backfield will begin to take shape over the summer.

I like the Seastrunk signing, who was a prized recruit coming out of high school, originally signing with Chip Kelly at Oregon before recruiting violations surfaced, leading to his transfer to Baylor. He has a skill-set that transfers well to the NFL game, although he bounced around as a rookie last season seeing time with Washington, Carolina and Tennessee, failing to play in a regular season contest. I expect he will be on the outside looking in to begin training camp, but will be given an opportunity to show what he is capable of.
