Rafael dos Anjos vs Eddie Alvarez

While I can’t deny that this fight should be a very well balanced affair, you can’t overlook the fall of Dos Anjos. Just a few months ago he was set to face Connor McGregor in a super fight for the Lightweight Title. He was looking at the biggest paycheck of his career, red panty night as it became known, then bam a rough sparring session two weeks before the bout ended that storyline. Now he’s defending his title on Fight Pass. Yep, from a massive headliner fight to the small population and often avoided Fight Pass. But Dos Anjos has to move on from this massive blow to the wallet and prep for Alvarez.

Rafael Dos Anjos vs Eddie Alvarez

I honestly think Alvarez can and will take this fight. He has an amazing set of skills and isn’t scared to switch his approach to his advantage. Dos Anjos is powerful and will have to rely on his leg kicks to keep Alvarez back. I think Eddie will dirty box and ground and pound his way to victory.

Roy Nelson vs Derrick Lewis

Lewis is more athletic and that speed will be the difference maker. Nelson has a chin like no one else but he’s never had much of a gas tank or real striking technique.  I like Lewis’ chances of controlling the fight early and letting Nelson gas.

Alan Jouban vs Belal Muhammad

This is that fight that the UFC hopes will have a spectacular knock out. I’ll take Alan Jouban to win it over the completely unknown Belal Muhammad.

Joe Duffy vs Mitch Clark

Joe Duffy is a great way to start off the main card. His willingness to throw unconventional and creative strikes, like the most spinning back fists in a single fight I’ve ever seen, makes him so fun to watch. Mitch Clark’s best bet to win would be taking the fight to the ground, but he’s not particularly good at that so, Joe Duffy via KO.
