Draft Profile: Cedric Ogbuehi
Cedric Ogbuehi- Offensive Tackle- Texas A&M
Size: 6’5 305lbs
- Good footwork- keeps feet moving through blocks
- Gets to the 2nd level
- Well conditioned
Analysis: Ogbuehi is a very athletic lineman that played both tackle spots and some guard in college. Ogbuehi plays well in space, most notably in his ability to get to the second level and successfully block linebackers. Playing in the SEC, Cedric played against the top defensive lineman in the country week in and week out, and more than held his own.
Need to Improve:
- Lack ideal power in legs
- Pass Protection- technique
- Needs to add some strength
Analysis: Ogbuehi plays well in space, but lacks legitimate power in his frame. Technique will need to be learned in pass protection at the next level. Too much body blocking, fails to use his hands to block defenders. When hands are used they lack any force or pop. Potential outweighs on-field production at this point.
Round Prediction: 1-2
