Strengths:

  • Good foot speed
  • Quick
  • Plays hard- good effort player
  • Decent man coverage skills

Analysis: Henderson is a decent cover corner, who keeps receivers and plays in front of him.  A combination of speed and quick hips allow him to stay with most wide receivers.  A four year starter on some bad Colorado football teams, Henderson has shown improvement every year, even if the numbers don’t back him up.  Henderson showed great leadership qualities in the secondary of the Buffs defense.  Effort is not a questions with Greg.

Need to Improve:

  • Below average strength
  • Smallish build
  • Does not locate ball
  • Turns back to the ball

Analysis: Henderson has a thin frame, and will need to add some muscle to hang on at the next level.  Too many times on tape Henderson would turn his back to the ball (“blind coverage skills”), and focus solely on the receiver.  Wideouts in the NFL would notice that immediately and seek out to attack Henderson.  This hurts his ball skills, but the kid is coachable and could develop good technique for the position.

Round Prediction: 7
