EA E3 Press Conference Live Coverage
Today kicks off the E3 conferences, where companies from around the gaming industry show off the newest games, features, trailers and consoles to the gaming world. Today, EA is having their “EA Play” conference where they are expected to be talking about Battlefield 1, Madden 17, FIFA 17 and more. Check back here for updates on the conference to see the latest news, trailers and more released by EA today.
Vince Zampella, CEO of Respawn Entertainment comes out and talks about Titanfall 2. Titanfall 2 is getting six new titans with each of their own abilities. Check out the Muiltiplayer trailer below.
They have announced single player for the game, something that wasn’t in the first game. Check out the trailer below
October 28th is the release date and will be for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
Peter Moore talks about how competitive gaming is getting a serious look this year. There are three events, Challenger, Premier and EA Major. Challenger is smaller, Premier is next and EA Major is for the best of the best.
There is a mini segment talking about two professional madden gamers and how they love to play and what it takes to be a professional gamer.
Stan Verrett talks about the madden tournament and how it went from 1 million players and down to 8.
Peter Moore talks about the Madden 17 Championship series where you can win up to $1 million, more details about it will come out soon.
Aaryn Flynn, GM of Bioware talks about Mass Effect Andromeda. For the first time in the series, it will be in a frostbite engine. Check out the behind the scenes below
EA Access is discussed and it is free this week for everyone. They announce Play to Give. They partnered with five charity organizations and to help celebrate gaming and the charities themselves. EA will donate $1 million to focus on the importance of play.
FIFA 17 trailer is released. It seems like they are doing something like NBA 2K where your career is more intense and acts more like a movie. Peter Moore says you will play the mode The Journey as Alex Hunter where you will live the life of him as he is the most anticipated soccer player of all time. Premiere Managers are in the game for the first time ever. Check out the trailer below.
Aaron McHardy, Producer of EA talks about FIFA. There are four transformations, allowing more control, different set pieces to give more control, physical play overhaul and a new AI system.
EA Announces EA Originals. It is about three things, taking first time experiences and showing them to the world, the next is to help small developers help build their game and the third is to fund and offer a level of security to these developers. They want all of the profit to go back to the developers.
Fe, a new indie game is announced and shows our relationship with nature. It shows how everything in this world is connected. You are a cub awaken in a dark cave, not knowing anything. You start to learn about every creature in the woods and what story to tell and song. Each animal has their own song and every song you learn, you can explore more in the forrest. There are evil characters that try and steal your songs. The game won’t tell you how to play the game, you will learn everything by yourself.
Star Wars talk comes in. Star Wars Battlefront upgrade will come out next year. Content from the new films will be featured in it with new characters, arenas and features. In 2018 there will be a new action game with new characters, no title was announced their. A 3rd person action adventure game made by Respawn is also in the works.
Battlefield 1 is the final game to be talked about. Battlefield 1 became by some of the developers on the team. They kept pushing the idea for Battlefield to be a World War 1 title as the next great game. Following the press conference there will be a livestream of Battlefield 1 multiplayer gameplay. 64 players head to head in a best of three contest, that will be something to watch for as a fan of the game.
In Battlefield 1, there are natural destruction environments, and weather will change, changing your style of play each time. There are huge vehicles like an armored ship, plane and tank. October 21 is the release date. There is an open beta coming out this summer.
