Freshman linebacker and four-star recruit Daiquan Kelly has been kicked off of the Penn State football team due to a violation of team rules. Kelly was a highly regarded recruit coming out of high school having offers from multiple programs including Boston College, Cincinnati, Illinois and Rutgers.

The 17th ranked athlete in the country in the 2015 class will now be looking for a new home to continue his college career. While details are yet to emerge as to what exactly his violation was, one would expect it to be more severe than your standard, ‘boys will be boys’ incident. Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin would not dismiss a highly talented freshman just as fall camp begins if it were not a severe matter. Stay tuned to MFST as details emerge.
