Fan Favorites Not Returning To ‘Hit The Floor’
There was some disappointing news from Hit The Floor creator and showrunner James LaRosa today via his Instagram account as he revealed that two of the fan favorites of the series will not be returning for the 4th season. Taylour Paige and Adam Senn who were both parts of some pretty big storylines have chosen to not continue with the show which was canceled by VH1 last year but then revived by BET a few months ago.
Basically to sum up the long post, LaRosa said he cares too much about the characters to recast and that the LGBT storylines WILL continue and that we “ain’t seen nuthin yet.” Returning cast members so far include: Dean Cain, McKinley Freeman, Kat Bailess, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, Kimberley Elise, and Brent Antonello.
LaRosa also announced that a new cast member Teyana Taylor (Madea’s Big Happy Family) has been added to the cast. He also said that there will be more new faces coming as long as some more OG Hit The Floor cast member announcements so we will have to stay tuned for that.
So, a little sad news mixed with some exciting news as we say goodbye to 2 series regulars but prepare to welcome some new ones. I can’t wait to see how they address the situations in the show and see how they send the characters off and how that will affect the storylines. No word yet on a premier date but we are inching closer. Stay tuned for more details.
