Move quick before it’s too late. Will Harris has seemed to lock down the Astros closer role and with the promotion, his fantasy value has skyrocketed. Not many are familiar with Harris, but he has been the best Astros reliever hands-down the past two years. With the struggles of Luke Gregerson, who has blown five saves this season, and off-season acquisition Ken Giles, who has been atrocious from the start, Will Harris was given an opportunity and he has taken full-advantage.

Harris has not allowed a single run since Opening Day against the Yankees, and owns a 0.33 ERA in 27 games this season. He has been virtually un-hittable since coming to the Astros in 2015. Last season, Harris was 5-5 with a 1.90 ERA and had 11 different streaks throughout the course of the year of not allowing a run in at least 5 straight games, three of those being over 10+ games each.

Bottom line, the guy can pitch and this opportunity is coming at a great time for the Astros who desperately need stability in their bullpen. Harris can locate each pitch with perfection, only walking four batters in 2016. While Houston manager A.J Hinch said he would like to utilize a closer-by-committee approach, I don’t buy it. Harris is the only pitcher who has proven time and time again that he can get outs and I expect the full-time closer role to be placed on Harris before the month of June is over. Fantasy baseball players should pick him up before someone else does.
