Final Premier League Prediction: Relegation
With less than ten games on the Premier League schedule, it’s time to do the final table predictions for the season. Let’s start with who will have to spend next season in the Championship.
20. West Bromich Albion
What was once dubbed, the team that couldn’t be relegated, will more than likely have to spend a season in Premier League timeout. There were hopes that the club would simply put on a mid table performance, but slowly they’ve sunk to the very bottom of the league. Alan Pardew may not stay with the club while in the Championship, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea for the club to try to hang onto someone who can provide some long-term support as there will be transfers out of the club quickly. No doubt West Brom won’t spend a long time in the Championship, as they should be back in the Premier League by the beginning of the 2019/2020 season.
19. Huddersfield Town
At the beginning of the season, the prediction was that Huddersfield would be relegated. But during the season they played better than expected. As the season begins to close, the schedule ahead, and the way they’ve played as of late doesn’t indicate the team can stay above the drop zone. Make no mistake, Huddersfield made great strides as a club this year, and hopefully they can make it back to top flight competition.
18. Stoke City
This is another shocker to who could be relegated this year. Stoke have survived in the Premier League for a long time, and it’s shocking the team they put together couldn’t stay up. Bringing in Jesé from Paris-Saint Germain was supposed to help cover the loss of Marko Arnoutovic to West Ham. They have England’s No.1 keeper in Jack Butland, who will no doubt want to leave the club if they’re relegated. With the row of games ahead it’ll be a fight, but Stoke just don’t have the results in form to pull off an escape. As with the other two clubs, they will be back soon.
Stay tuned for teams 17-11.
