From Memphis and Briarcrest High School, to Ole Miss. Through legal issues and the NFL. Now earning a UFC contract to fight in the octagon. Probably not the path he saw himself taking, but maybe this is the career that chose Greg Hardy.

The soon to be 30 year-old Hardy easily won three amateur MMA fights, with first round knock-outs, then beat another former NFL player, Austen Lane in 57 seconds on Tuesday night in Dana White’s ‘Tuesday Night Contender Series’. Hardy was awarded a developmental UFC contract after the contest.

It’s still not feeling real to me. It feels like a movie. I feel awesome. This is one of the better feelings in the world. It feels like sacking 100 quarterbacks.
