Gordon Hayward scores 33 but it wasn’t enough to stop the Warriors
The final score was 115-104 and the Golden State Warriors now look to extend their lead with this series now headed to Salt Lake City. The Jazz are still very green and no one is expecting them to pull-off an upset here, but they showed improvement in Game 2, and like I said, I still think this series can go six games.
First off no disrespect to the Warriors, they are dangerous, they can score and the big four is unstoppable when they’re all clicking, but the bench is what worries me. Kevin Durant had a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds, Draymond Green had 21 points, Klay Thomson scored 14 and Stephen Curry was 2 points shy of tying Durant with 23, and he also hit 5-for-8 three-point field goals.
Other than that who else is there? Sure Andre Iguoldala had 10 points, but Zaza Pachulia had 2 points, Shaun Livingston had 2 points as well in 15 minutes and JaVale McGee had 4 points. Sure they didn’t play big minutes, and they’re not going to be efficient every night, but without the big four, can the Warriors depend on anybody else to step up if they have to face the blazing Rockets or the Spurs? And if so, can they keep it up against the Cavs? Only time will tell.
Joe “Buckets” Johnson didn’t have a great game last night. He only had 8 points in 30 minutes, Gordon Hayward played hero here, but came up short with 33 points in 40 minutes. Rudy Gobert is a promising guy on this team and he showed promise last night with a double-double, 16 points and 16 rebounds. Shelvin Mack also hit double figures with 14 points.
Look this Jazz team is growing more and more confident as this series grows. Like I said in my rant I don’t trust the Warriors bench, if the Jazz were seasoned, and had experience as a team in the playoffs I’d be on the edge to pick them. This is a game that the Warriors starters ultimately had to earn! Hell for crying out loud a limping Draymond Green had to re-enter the game, because the Jazz starting to tighten up the score. Don’t expect a sweep here, and don’t be surprised if the Warriors come back to Oracle Arena for Game 5 with this series tied.https://www.myfantasysportstalk.com/gordon-hayward-scores-33-but-it-wasnt-enough-to-stop-the-warriors/https://i0.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/jazz-warriors-game-1.jpg?fit=770%2C433&ssl=1https://i0.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/jazz-warriors-game-1.jpg?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1BasketballBasketball RankingsCleveland CavaliersGolden State WarriorsHouston RocketsNBASan Antonio SpursUtah Jazz#Warriors,Goldent State Warriors,NBA,Utah JazzThe final score was 115-104 and the Golden State Warriors now look to extend their lead with this series now headed to Salt Lake City.
