Group H Preview
Each team in this group features a goalscorer that could propel their team into the next round of the World Cup. Colombia has the 2014 golden boot winner in James Rodriguez who has found his form again after a loan move to Bayern Munich. Sadio Mane is leading Senegal to their second ever World Cup, and they’re hoping to replicate that 2002 team that made the quarter-finals. Japan’s Shinji Kagawa is a top attack mid who, if he’s on top of his game, could shock the world and lead Japan to the knockout stages. And finally, we have perhaps the best striker in the world in Robert Lewandowski leading a very good Poland team who could make a very deep run this World Cup.

Key match: Poland vs Colombia
Two of Bayern Munich’s top attacking options face off in this one. Robert Lewandowski is hoping to lead Poland to a deep run, but the same can be said about James Rodriguez and Colombia. Outside of these world-class attackers, both teams are solid and should feel good heading into this game. If either team gets a result this game, that should be enough to come out of the group on top.
Similar to a few groups in this World Cup, I expect a lot of goals to be scored in these six games. Poland has a strong enough defense that they shouldn’t allow that many goals. Senegal also has a strong defense, but I don’t know they can rely on anyone outside of Sane to score goals for them. Colombia can rely on a few different goal scorers and I think that will be the difference between them and Senegal in terms of who makes it to the next round. And sadly, I don’t think Japan is on the same level as these teams and it will be tough for them to get a draw against any of these three teams.
