Hawaii vs UC Riverside Preview and Prediction
Hawaii vs UC Riverside Preview
Hawaii (11-5, 2-0) continues its Big West Conference road swing, hoping for a three-game sweep as they head to Riverside, CA to take on UC Riverside (6-13, 0-3).
For the Highlanders, they are yet to win a conference game and have struggled to find someone to step up outside of Dikymbe Martin. The junior guard is the only UC Riverside player to play over 28 minutes per game (32.1) and score in double figures (16.1). The team has struggled when Martin has gone cold or the opposing defense looks to shut him down.
Martin has notched 20+ points five different times this season already, which ties for 4th in the Big West. His highest scoring performance came at this past Wednesday where the junior guard dropped 25 on CSUN.
For the Rainbow Warriors, the start to conference play could not have been better. Prior to the two Big West games, Hawaii did not play a true road game all year. Under head coach Eran Ganot the Bows are 15-10 in true road conference games, so they have success on the road. They have also won three straight games at UC Riverside–Riverside has returned the favor winning three straight at Hawaii.
The Warriors have a lot more depth on their roster and have a three-man punch who average in double figures led by Eddie Stansberry with 14.1 points per game.
