Hornets vs Bulls Preview and Prediction
Hornets vs. Bulls
The Hornets head to Chicago to look to build upon their two game winning streak. The Bulls look to avenge their 25-point loss to the Hornets from last week.
Charlotte started the season 0-3, but have bounced back and won four of their last five to get to .500. They currently have six players averaging over 10 points per game. Two of those players are from the bench. They are getting some good production out of Jeremy Lin at the back-up point guard spot, as he has scored a combined 36 points in the last two games. If the Hornets continue to get solid contribution from both their starters and their bench, then this team could put the Bulls down again tonight.
The Bulls had their entire team drawn into question after the last time they faced the Hornets. They no longer knew how to play defense, Derrick Rose needed to be gone, who is the team’s leader… the questions went on and on. Undoubtedly, they will come into tonight looking to make a statement to both critics and to the Hornets. They are still looking for a consistent number one option this season as far as scoring and leading the team. It seemed like it was Rose after the Hornets loss when he scored 29, but the two games since he has a combined 23 points. This could be a shot for him to save face, or this team may become Jimmy Butler’s.
My Prediction: If this was in Charlotte, the Hornets would take another win from the Bulls, but since it is in Chicago they will have something to prove to their home fans. They somehow overcome Charlotte’s bench play to win.
Chicago 97- Charlotte 94
