This episode kicks off with another flashback of Frank following Wes before he was murdered. Frank loses Wes when he turns down an alley and Bonnie urges Frank not to hurt him if he does find him. Wes catches a cab and calls a number saved in his phone as ‘In case of Emergency’.How to get away with Murder

In  the present, Oliver isn’t coping well to knowing about the murders and Bonnie is practicing  for the preliminary hearing, which happens to be the same day as Wes’s memorial. The kids choose to go to the memorial instead of Annalise’s hearing. Annalise is shocked and upset when she sees that her parents have showed up.

At Wes’s memorial, Laurel, who has finally been released from the hospital has a break down and calls out the people who showed up who didn’t even know or care about Wes and then storms off. She goes to the morgue and begs them to let her see Wes’s body, but they tell her she has to take the matter up with the D.A.

When Bonnie attempts to make a motion to give Annalise a separate trial from Frank, she’s shut down and once again Annalise is denied bail.

Annalise’s parents visit her in jail and tell her that they will be with her every step of the way. Her mother offers to take to the blame for the fire and Annalise quickly realizes her mother is talking about a different fire from the past. Annalise’s father informs her that her mother has dementia, and Annalise reveals that her mother did indeed set a fire years ago, purposely killing his brother.

Back at the D.A.’s office, Oliver is being interrogated by investigators after being prepped by Bonnie and the others.

Laurel is still nowhere to be found. She goes to Nate and begs him to ask if she can see Wes. When they go to the morgue to see him, they find out that his body is not in it’s designated bag and that the D.A. somehow lost his body.

The next day Laurel has a meeting with Frank and his lawyer and Frank apologizes for everything. She asks him what Wes’s last words were and his lawyer ends the meeting. Laurel goes to the others and tells them she’s now sure that Frank didn’t kill Wes.

Annalise purposely gets beaten up by an inmate and Bonnie goes to a judge claiming that Annalise is being targeted by the other inmates and could be dead by the time her trial rolls around, resulting in her bail being granted.

The D.A. finds out that Nate was the one who ‘misplaced’ Wes’s body and there is a flashback to Nate being in Annalise’s house and seeing Wes before he died.

This has been my favorite episode so far. They have upped the shock factor this week. Finding out Wes’s body was missing was unexpected and surprising. And finding out that Nate may have had something to do with the fire that night was the perfect finish to an already drama filled episode.
