Fresh off the success of The Handmaid’s Tale, there is another Margaret Atwood novel coming to a screen near you. Netflix has developed a new series based on Atwood’s 1996 novel Alias Grace which is based on the true story about a girl named Grace Marks who was an immigrant housemaid living in Ireland in 1843 and was accused of murdering her employer, Thomas Kinnear.  Grace insists that she has no memory of the crime and that she is innocent, but is she? Then, a decade later, a doctor tries to help her recall her memories. The series is set to premier on Netflix November 3rd with 6 episodes.

Sarah Gadon (The Amazing Spider-man 2) is playing Grace and Zachary Levi will be playing Jeremiah Pontelli. Hulu has had killer success with Atwood’s The Handmaids Tale which took home 8 Emmy awards this past Sunday night.
