Doctor Fate

Last week, the CW unveiled their new special San Diego Comic Con bags from shows like Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow. Interestingly, the Legends of Tomorrow bag seems to have all the team logos on the back, with the addition of three new logos that were not included last season. You can see the previous logos for the existing characters like Atom, Firestorm, White Canary, and Heatwave. But the three logos on the right seem to tease new characters.

The hourglass logo is, of course, for Hourman, who was introduced in the season one finale played by Patrick J. Adams. The second logo is most likely for the newly announced Vixen, who will be different from the current Vixen that appeared on Arrow and is featured on the animated series Vixen on CW seed. Perhaps the most interesting logo is the third, which shows the Egyptian Eye of Horus. Which is associated with fan favorite Doctor Fate. Doctor Fate is a member of the Justice Society, which is confirmed to appear on Legends of Tomorrow next season. And his addition would make sense, considering that he is a founding member of the JSA and has been teased before. His helmet appeared on Constantine, which is now apart of the CW superhero universe.

A number of months ago, Katie Cassidy, who played Black Canary on Arrow and Black Siren on The Flash, shared a picture online of her getting her makeup ready in the Flash makeup room, but in the background on the wall there was a blurry image of what appeared to be Doctor Fate. And with the introduction of magic on Arrow last season, it seems the CW will not shy away from that side of the DC universe. We heard a while ago that the Legends of Tomorrow cast will change and we will see different additions to the team each season. So could the third new member of the team be Doctor Fate? Could the new season delve more into magic by having both Vixen and Doctor Fate, who both draw their power from magic?
