Peyton Manning: Is it time to Retire?
2015 has been a rough season for Peyton Manning. In fact, statistically it’s been his worst regular reason ever. In just nine games he’s thrown more interceptions than anyone in the NFL, and notched just 9 touchdowns. It seems just yesterday he was breaking records in the Broncos offense. In two short years he’s gone from the league’s best regular season quarterback to scary to watch. The decline of one of the NFL’s best Qbs has been both sharp and uncomfortable.
Age catches up with everyone at some point, and perhaps it’s finally run down Peyton. Four neck surgeries and a slew of lower body tweaks and tears could be signs that Manning’s body is ready to retire. The NFL is a young man’s game they say. After all, the average career is only 3.3 years in the league.
It may be tough to let go, but everyone is forced to hang up the cleats at some point. Manning’s arm strength simply isn’t what it used to be. At this point, he likely has the worst arm strength in all of the NFL. For a player who has to make an impact with his arm, how can he continue? He’s not getting any younger.
Peyton Manning will Retire as one of the Best
There’s no shame or discrediting in the idea of retirement. Peyton Manning’s name will forever be etched in NFL record books. He’s already the league all-time leader in passing yard, and touchdowns. He’s won a Super Bowl and played in another.
There’s really nothing else left for him to accomplish.
The Broncos appears to have a promising young player in Brock Osweiler, so maybe it’s time for another person to step up. The human body has limitations, and that’s why there have never been many 40 year old quarterbacks.https://www.myfantasysportstalk.com/is-it-time-for-peyton-manning-to-retire/https://i0.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/peyton-manning.jpg?fit=1024%2C728&ssl=1https://i0.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/peyton-manning.jpg?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1AFC WestAnalysisDenver BroncosFootballNews and UpdatesNFLRecent Posts#Broncos,#Colts,#Denver,#PeytonManning,NFL,QB2015 has been a rough season for Peyton Manning.
