IT is headed to the Lakers
Former All-Star Isaiah Thomas is moving out West to the Los Angeles Lakers, but not on his own terms though. The Cleveland Cavaliers needed to make a desperation move to keep their heads afloat, and this trade has weird written all over it, it’s not a bad move at all.
Our very on Brandon Reid put his perspective on the trade in a nice summary “ So IT went from possible MVP candidate last year, to bench player behind a rookie now.” Channing Frye and the Cavs protected 2018 first-round draft pick were also traded to the Lakers for Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson.
LeBron James finally got some help, but it still isn’t enough to pass the Celtics in the East. The most surprising thing here is that the Cavs gave up Kyrie Irving for Isaiah Thomas, for them just to give up on him already. To be fair, Thomas hasn’t been the same ever since injuring his hip and the locker room drama with Kevin Love from a few weeks ago probably helped influence the Cavs to find a trading partner for Isiah.
