The Jacksonville Jaguars got their man, as they selected Florida State DB Jalen Ramsey fifth overall in the 2016 NFL Draft. The Jaguars were looking for an upgrade in their secondary, but most draft experts doubted Ramsey (my No.1 defensive player in this year’s class) would be available at their selection.

When the Cowboys added to their list of running backs, choosing Ezekiel Elliott 4th overall, the Jaguars pounced at the opportunity.

Jalen Ramsey provides playmaking and versatility to a Gus Bradley led defense, similar to what he had when he was defensive coordinator of the Seattle Seahawks. The Jags boast an up-and-coming offense led by Blake Bortles and Allen Robinson, and now can pair Ramsey with Jonathan Cyprien in their secondary.
