Former lottery pick Jahlil Okafor has found a new home after agreeing to a deal with the New Orleans Pelicans according to ESPN.Jahlil Okafor

Okafor’s deal includes a partial guarantee for the 2018-19 season and a team option for the following season.

Okafor, the third overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft, will be joining his third team since December, when Philadelphia traded him to Brooklyn.

This is a solid signing for the Pelicans, who lost Demarcus Cousins in free agency and will need depth behind big man Anthony Davis. If the Pels can coach up Okafor to his potential, they have an old-school power forward who can hang in the post.

In his career, Okafor has averaged 12.9 points on 56 percent shooting from the floor and has added in 5.3 rebounds throughout his career.

Okafor, 22, made the NBA’s All-Rookie team in 2016 before his role increasingly diminished with the 76ers, leading to the trade to the Nets.
