Jason Pierre-Paul met with the Giants for a second time yesterday, and with that reunion there are many reports stating JPP will sign his franchise-tag tender and be able to play in Week 10 against the Patriots. There’s now a sense of what they’re looking at, as Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports the two sides are “on the verge of signing a contract.”

The reported near-deal will run through the end of this season, for something less than the $870,000 a week he was scheduled to make under the tag. There will also be incentives for him to make up some of the lost money. Either way, the Giants are in desperate need of a pass rush and JPP is their best chance of rekindling some type of pressure on opposing QB’s, even with his lack of fingers.

While these reports are surfacing, it is still possible none of this comes to fruition. Have you seen his hand?
