Strengths:

  • Powerful
  • Long arms
  • Solid punch
  • Sees twists and blitzes before they happen
  • Gets to second level
  • Works with controlled slides and rarely whipped to the edge
  • Dominant run blocker
  • Mean streak

Weaknesses:

  • Lacks patience
  • Too many false starts
  • Inconsistent angles
  • High punch at times
  • Elevated pad level
  • Overshoots at times
  • Weight issues

Analysis: Taylor is a big mauler who is athletic enough to handle tackle duties in the NFL. As long as he can keep his weight down, he can be a starter for a long time at the next level. His long arms and solid punch show up on tape and his eyes are sneaky good. He had too many false starts while at Florida and his angles can be inconsistent at times, allowing defenders to work inside him–but overall, his game is solid. I can see a team using him inside if needed, but I believe he can be a right tackle in the NFL.

Size: 6’5 312lbs
