J’Mon Moore Draft Profile

K'Mon Moore Draft Profile

Strengths:

  • Size
  • Fluid in his movement and flashes athletic traits
  • Soft hands
  • Dangerous after the catch
  • Uses stick-and-move foot quickness to elude tacklers with lateral agility and has acceleration to get off to the races
  • Makes necessary adjustments early on deep throws

Analysis: J’Mon Moore followed up a strong junior campaign with an equally impressive senior season. While Missouri’s offensive scheme made things easy on him and allowed him to rely on his athletic ability to succeed, he has the size, speed and talent to be able to succeed beyond what was asked of him in college. He dealt with focus drops often, but scouts believe he has the soft hands you covet in a wide receiver. Once the ball is in his hands he is a dangerous athlete after the catch. Ball skills are there.

Weaknesses:

  • Still raw
  • Ran primarily hitches and comebacks
  • Worked just one side of the field and stayed out near the numbers
  • Allows cornerbacks to crowd him against the sideline and force him out of bounds on his downfield routes
  • Had too many focus drops
  • Scouts say he can be surly and question his maturity level
  • Still learning to set up route breaks

Analysis: J’Mon Moore is a raw wide receiver prospects who will need some coaching at the next level in order to make an impact on any NFL team. Some teams were turned off by his drops during Senior Bowl practices and that, along with how raw he is right now, could have teams passing on him early on. He has the talent to become a solid NFL backup, but his floor is a little lower than some other day three prospects. He could be strictly a system wideout, staying on one side of the field during his time at Missouri and working exclusively from the outside. Missouri’s scheme helped Moore put up the numbers that helped him become and NFL Draft prospect. Route running needs attention and work.
