Analysis: The former five-star recruit lived up to his billing during his time at Alabama. Williams earned the starting right tackle spot for all 15 games his first season on campus, as well as Freshman All-American honors and a spot on the SEC All-Freshman squad. Williams moved to the left tackle spot in 2017, taking over for Cam Robinson as the starter for all 14 games and receiving third-team All-American notice from the Associated Press and a first-team All-SEC nod in the Tide’s national championship season. In 2018, he earned AP first-team All-American recognition. His football IQ is off the charts and he will live in the weight room and film room at the next level. You will never have to question his work ethic. He utilizes superior technique, angles and body control to succeed in all facets of the game. Scouts question if he will be moved inside to guard in the NFL and if so, will that affect his draft stock? I’m a believer in him and am on the side that he will be a left tackle at the next level.
