Justice League movie and Zack Snyder controversy
On Tuesday all DC fans were literally, as I saw in social media, counting down the minutes until 9 am to read the Justice League news or whatever information they were revealing. Actors and other DC people were leaving cryptic tweets for a week about us seeing something Tuesday. What was revealed was the synopsis, main characters (we’re left wondering where Green Lantern is), the new logo, the villain and artwork. Most fans are very optimistic, intrigued and excited.
The synopsis released is this:
“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his new-found ally Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite this formation of this unprecedented league of heroes…. Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash…. It may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
The film is directed by Zack Snyder. He directed Batman vs Superman :Dawn of Justice and Man of Steel. The very first in the DCEU. There’s major controversy over Snyder directing for DC. I read the praise, and the very hateful opinions as well. Since the release of JL info, the debates have been trending.
This seems to be a very passionate subject for DC fans and non-fans alike. From what I can see, he’s either absolutely loved and defended to the death, or hated with a burning hate. Geoff Johns 100% supports and backs Snyder. Johns is the biggest DC fanboy there is and now the head of DCEU. He’s working with him right now on Justice League. I’ve read in a few places him defending his friend and coworker. I just read one today where he said he ‘loved his vision of the beloved DC characters’.
After BvS the complaints were it being too dark, not the take of the characters some fans loved. As a huge fangirl, I saw the opposite. It was The Dark Knight Returns. I saw Bruce Wayne in screen for the first time. However that’s only some fans take. Now, with the release of the premise, we’re reading that it’s too “comic like” I’m guessing Snyder haters will find a way to hate anything he directs…for DC that is.. Because it’s the opposite complaint. I’d like to say just stick with Disney movies but I digress. Snyder took the reactions to BvS to heart. He also said he learned from them and what he learned, he’s taking with him and evolving in Justice League. His love for the characters is what fuels him he says and what the fans think matters. Why wouldn’t we want a man like this behind our favorite characters?
From the artwork to the synopsis to the costumes.. This has an old school Justice League with a modern take. It’s filming now in London. There has been one scene filmed, a trailer, said to be released soon.https://www.myfantasysportstalk.com/justice-league-movie-and-zack-snyder-controversy/https://i2.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/8.31.11GeoffJohnsNew52ByLuigiNovi1-1.jpg?fit=874%2C1024&ssl=1https://i2.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/8.31.11GeoffJohnsNew52ByLuigiNovi1-1.jpg?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1ComicsEntertainmentMoviesRecent Postsgeoff johns zack snyder,Zack SnyderOn Tuesday all DC fans were literally, as I saw in social media, counting down the minutes until 9 am to read the Justice League news or whatever information they were revealing.
