Keith Law shreds Tim Tebow the baseball player
Tim Tebow is playing in the Arizona Fall League for the New York Mets affiliate. ESPN’s Keith Law is in Arizona, solely for the purpose to scout and watch Tim Tebow the baseball player work at his new craft. The results, according to Law are hideous.
In his ESPN Insider column today Law demolishes Tebow-the-baseball player, calling him “an imposter pretending to have talent he does not possess.” Law says that Tebow’s bat speed is terrible, his foot speed is terrible and his routes to baseballs in the outfield are terrible. Law says “there’s absolutely no baseball justification for Tebow to be here.”
Keith doesn’t stop there as he takes jabs at the New York Mets for even bringing Tebow to the Arizona Fall League which normally caters to top prospects and organizational talent which at least has the pretense of a baseball future.
Tebow isn’t performing like a top prospect as he is currently 0-for-9 with three strikeouts. He does have two walks, an RBI and a run. Three game sample sizes aren’t to be judged as the be-all, end-all, but the results aren’t good to-date.
Will Tebow ever see major league action? Let me know in the comments below…
