Killing fields

Tonight’s episode of Killing Fields opened with Major Ronnie Herbert briefing the detectives on what they were to collect and look for when they executed the search. Barrels, guns and blood were to be collected if found. Detective Aubrey St. Angelo plotted which detectives were to cover what areas of the property in the search. The opening scene concluded with prayer.

Detectives decided early morning would be the best time to conduct the search. They wanted to surprise Francise who unfortunately was out of town. They found only a lady who was unidentified and an employee named J.D.on the premises.

The house garage and grounds looked like a junkyard. Filled with coolers, freezers, papers a hoarders dream come true. Detectives searched thoroughly but no guns were found. Barrels were scattered everywhere.

Detectives sprayed the kitchen with blue star a chemical compound like luminol looking for blood in the kitchen. Francise recently had scrubbed the floors with bleach he conveniently left the used mop water where detectives could see it.

They removed cabinets, vinyl flooring and molding hoping to find blood near the kitchen island. Blue star had glowed fluorescent blue. Unfortunately it was reacting to the bleach used for clean up.

Sheriff Brett Stassi Sr. gave Major Herbert the go ahead to use divers and high-tech equipment to search bayou pigeon after DNA from a tooth revealed it was not Curtis”Cochise”Smith body they recovered from the barrel. Nothing but a crab trap and metal tubing was found.

Special prosecutor Tony Clayton met with detectives. He wanted the recorded interview between Detective Rodie Sanchez and Tommy Franciseto undergo voice analysis. To see what parts Francise is lying or telling the truth on in his statement.

The closing scenes shows detective Rodie Sanchez. Feeling guilty about his main informant George Barrett a former associate of Francise being found dead in his home of a gun shot wound to the head. A .22 caliber was used. Francise is suspected in the killing.

Detective Rodie Sanchez health is looking bad. A former kidney cancer survivor,Sanchez has discovered the remaining kidney has spots on it. He has more test ran to confirm or deny if the cancer has returned. Good luck Rodie I hope everything works out and your health improves. He’s been advised to rest but its doubtful he will follow Doctors orders.
