Killing Fields: Season Finale Recap
Tonight’s episode opens with a recap of Tommy Francise’s arrest. Tommy’s pulled from his truck to the ground and put in handcuffs. The semi is searched and detective Aubry St. Angelo reads Tommy his rights.
Francise is transported from Crowely to Iberrville parish police department for interrogation. Detectives and especially Rodie Sanchez is exuberant about the arrest.
Sheriff Brett Stassi Sr. and Maj.Ronnie Herbert do the questioning while fellow detectives watch from another room. Tommy asks to speak to Stassi privately. Maj.Herbert obliges.
During the interrogation Tommy asked for a low bond to be set so he could be let back out on the streets. He refuses to talk to detectives and claims he’s exhausted. He’s booked and taken to a jail cell til morning.
In the morning he tries bargaining with police for a better mattress. He still denies everything but starts naming key witnesses. He then asks for his attorney.
In the meantime detectives receive a report from OMV in Baton Rouge, Louisiana about a Nissan pickup truck Eugenie Boisfontaine’s ex husband owned. In 2000 he sold the truck to a buyer in New Orleans. The report doesn’t specify the color. A silver Nissan pickup was seen at the abduction and body dumpsites. Detectives are going to question the truck buyer.
Meanwhile witnesses are getting nervous Tommy will make bond. The key witness Arlene one of Tommy’s ex girlfriends admits Tommy threatened her he would make her disappear.
Detective Rodie Sanchez attends murder victim George Barrett’s sons church to pray for the bond hearing and cases.
An inmate requests a meeting with Aubrey to discuss a jail cell confession Tommy had told him. The informant knew Tommy prior he used to work for him. He said Tommy was to bond him out and ask him to burn down George Barrett’s house. Tommy then described the layout of the house and where police could find physical evidence to tie him to the murder. Something only the murderer could know. Tommy also told where he had dumped Curtis “Cochise”Smith’s body. In the levee in front of bayou pigeon.
Tommy was not bonded out. He sits in jail awaiting trial due to bond hearing testimonies by his two ex girlfriends Arlene and D’etta. No trial date has been set.
This seasons ending closed with Aubry St Angelo and Rodie Sanchez ready to find the body in the water at the levee. See you detectives next season. I now need to find a new article to write about.
