Killing fields

Tonight’s episode of Killing Fields started with cold case detectives looking behind a levee for the remains of Wendy Kent. Wendy was a divorced mother of three. She attended a birthday party at her estranged husbands house. He over heard her call someone to pick her up. She walked to the end of the driveway got in the car and has been missing since 2002.Her body has never been recovered. The woods turn up nothing nor are detectives able to find new leads.

The remainder of the episode focuses on the murder of three women. Kathrine Ball, Donna Johnston and Johnnie Mae Williams. All the women were kidnapped, strangled, sexually assaulted and killed by head trauma. All were dumped in either wooded areas, drainage ditches or suburbs in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Ethan Reames at the time a young teen, who was walking in the woods discovered the gruesome remains of Williams. There was no physical evidence except one hair. DNA analysis was done and was found that Kathrine Ball was murdered by the same man.

Sean Vincent Gillis. Gillis admitted to knowing one of the victims Johnnie Mae Williams. He was arrested and when questioned he admitted finally that he was a monster. His killing spree begin March 1994 to April 29, 2004 when he was apprehended. He said the prostitutes were at the wrong place at the wrong time and were worthless trash. Police felt otherwise. Gillis was charged with both first and second degree murder. He is serving life with no possibility of parole. He will die in prison. He murdered eight women that the police know of.

Rodie ends the episode thinking back on two cold cases that are solved and one unsolved. He is worrying he will pass away before they are solved. Lets hope not Rodie you have to push through.

Aubry asks his former coworkers in narcotics to help with the Kent case, Aubry in turn helps discover 2.2 lbs of cocaine hidden in a recently confiscated car. The cocaine was hidden near the car’s computer system near the dashboard.
