Watching these athletes do what they do, week in and week out, some of us may take for granted the amazing abilities that some of them possess. If someone tells me that the Warriors won another game and that Steph Curry hit a bunch of threes, I would not be surprised because it has happened so much this year. However, Saturday nights offering of Warriors and Thunder was a special one for any basketball fan. That’s why even though it may not be a surprise; this week’s Man Crush Monday goes to Steph Curry.

Steph Curry scored 46 points in 38 minutes including 12 out of 16 three pointers. The biggest shot of the night came in overtime which he made from beyond 30 feet, leaving just .06 seconds in the game. The Warriors won the game 121-118, and are now 53-5 on the season. Curry only had 6 assists but when you have a backcourt that is so efficient in shooting, the assists tend to come from other players like Draymond Green who had 14 of them. Curry has now made 288 three pointers on the season breaking his own record in this game.

Curry is heading towards a second straight MVP and unless a couple of other teams can figure the Warriors out between now and the playoffs, he is headed for a second straight championship as well. No team is invincible but they are on pace to beat the 95-96 Bulls record of 72-10 which I know has been talked about to death already. Steph Curry may not score 40 plus points every game, but he doesn’t need to the way his team is set up. We should more than likely see him hit the 300 mark for three pointers in the next couple of games. I don’t think anyone thought that was something we would see in this sport.
