It felt odd not writing for the Thursday night game, and well that’s how we know that the 2017 season is about to wrap up. I’m full of emotions, and to be quite frank, emotions are dumb! Why can’t I just be some machine, cold-hearted ya know. Since it’s the holiday season I guess the Grinch would also work, but then again he opened his heart up towards the end of his movie and book. Then I also thought about Kareem Hunt, because for a while I felt like he absolutely did not give a flip about me or my team, because I invested so much into him for me to watch him blow up twice already with me out of the playoffs. That’s just one league.

As far as championship week out of six leagues that I currently play in I made it! And to spice things up I’m playing the guy who bounced me out of the semifinals last year, so a lot is at stake here. Enough about me though Championship week is finally here! Even if this article has no meaning for you until next season I want to say thanks with the holiday season in all because this has been very fun. Just like the 2017 NFL season, this is sadly the last Man Up article until the 2018 season. For those who play in Week 17 I have no idea how you guys do that. Week 16 presents several great games starting all across the league, and with getting games all the way till Christmas just think about how many hearts will be broken on Monday night, and how many championships will also be won. So grab some hot cocoa, egg nog, a beer or whatever it is that you prefer, because to those who are getting ready for Week 16 this ones for you.

Championship Week

Case Keenum

My man Case Keenum is making the list because you know why? He has single handily helped push people into the playoffs alone. Think about the scenarios you were probably in before you even grabbed Keenum off of waivers. You probably had Aaron Rodgers, or Deshaun Watson. Maybe even some underperforming player like Jameis Winston or Derek Carr, and you turned to Keenum in waivers and now you’re here. He also has the Packers this week on the road, and the last time these two teams met the Vikings destroyed Green Bay, and put Aaron Rodgers on the shelf.

Ezekiel Elliott

Zeke the freak is baaaaaack baby!!! And look he may not torch the Seahawks for four touchdown like the way Todd Gurley did, but you held on to him for this very moment, and well my friends nows the time to unleash the beast.

Robert Woods

Woods had a great game last week in his return to the field. He was targeted early in the game, and Woods is another player who most people more than likely didn’t draft on draft day, and a waiver move for Woods was probably one of your smartest moves all season. Start Woods with him being in such a great match up against the Titans.

Rob Gronkowski

Not that long ago when these two teams met, things got a little chippy and Gronk started throwing Bills players through tables… ok ok that did not happen, however in Buffalo the Bills fans don’t need anyone to put them through tables anyways because they do it themselves, and other idiotic things, but back to Gronk, Tre’Davious White came out yesterday and said that he’s still waiting for an apology from Gronk for his dirty hit on him, and well Mr White, the only form of an apology you’re going to get is getting burned, and watching Gronk spike the ball into the turf.

Phillip Rivers

What happened last week? The Chargers were one of the hottest teams in football, and they got smashed by the Chiefs, in a game that was never even close. Week 16 presents a great matchup if you survived the horrible performance of Rivers, because you can surely bet that the Chargers are due for a bounce back against a vulnerable Jets team.

Nick Foles

I’ll keep this short and simple. The last time Foles suited up against the Raiders he dropped not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, but seven touchdowns on the Raiders four years ago. More than likely he doesn’t repeat that performance from seasons past on Monday night, but he’s a great start for your fantasy team, and should put up a good performance for the home crowd.

Christian McCaffrey

I love McCaffrey, but last week he single handily bounced me from the semis in one league, so there’s some saltiness towards him as well, but if the Panthers could keep McCaffrey in a huge role like last week then things should look very bright for you in championship week.

Joe Mixon

Mixon is finally cleared to return to play after suffering a scary hit on his Monday night scare a few weeks back vs Pittsburgh, and this is heartbreaking because Mixon was finally gelling in the offense and getting the carries we’ve been hoping for ever since the day we drafted him. Unfortunately for Mixon, the Bengals players don’t even look enthusiastic enough to play like they care, so Mixon is a bench this week.

Marshawn Lynch

Look if this comes back and bites me in the ass then so be it, but even after rejuvenating in the second half of the season, the Raiders are trending downward, and on the road against a tough Philly team who still won’t lay down even after clinching the NFC East makes Lynch a risky play.

Jimmy Garappolo

As handsome and dreamy as Garappolo is, Week 16 for the Niners could get ugly fast with the AFC South champs coming to town.

Jimmy Graham

This could be Graham’s last season with Seattle, and let’s give the man props. He has a decent streak this season where he was the monster, touchdown catching machine of a TE 1, but over his last two games he has been horrible! Yes the Cowboys are prone to giving up big plays, but if you’re going for all the marbles, trusting Graham could hurt you in the end.

Jordy Nelson

No just no. I’ve seen this question about starting Jordy, since Davante Adams is out for this game, and the answer is no. Not to mention Nelson, and Hundley have absolutely no chemistry.

Marcus Mariota

I know Mariota is at home, but has there been a more horrible team to watch each week? Don’t get me wrong, Mariota is going to be great going forward, but this season has just been one for forget for them, and with the Rams coming to town, I’m not trusting Mariota in my lineup to help me bring a championship.
