Analysis: Max Scharping is a prospect you come to love while watching his tape. Playing in 52 games, there was a lot to see–his durability and overall game is solid showing starter traits throughout his time in college. He has a combination of size and functional athletic ability that will make him a Day 2 pick–his intelligence will allow him to pick up the NFL game and understand any blocking scheme. He’s a plug-n-play as a rookie and I believe he can be one of the better tackle prospects in this class. He does lack some footwork technique and speedy edge rushers could give him fits in the NFL–but he can learn from his mistakes and work on his technique. No worries about effort level, ever.
