Mets finally make it back to the playoffs
Mets Make it Back to Playoffs
Its been a magical 2015 season for the Mets. In a year during which the team wasn’t expected to do much besides build toward the future, they’ve nearly done it all.
The Mets have led their division for much of the season and don’t seem ready to let go any time soon. An 8.5 game lead on the Nationals is a gap too substantial even for the Mets to squander.
With Washington slumping, New York has taken full advantage of the opportunity presented. A meltdown of epic proportions lit the path for playoff redemption. A preseason favorite to win the World Series, Washington has proved an epic flop. For a long suffering Mets fanbase, great things could be on the horizon. A playoff berth lends a small taste of what a promising young team has in-store.
The Mets made a bold trade acquisition in Yoenis Cespedes, and the team is now picking up steam as it heads into the post season. For a squad that produced a historically bad offensive first half, the all-star break has brought significant changes. In fact, the second half of 2015 has unleashed a completely different Mets team. These new Mets featuring a raging offense to go along with stellar pitching. Few teams have been able to keep pace with the Mets torrid offensive output in the latter half of the year. This spells good news for a team looking to make its mark in the postseason.
With a stellar 20-8 record during August and an outstanding 15-9 mark in September, the Mets are a true contender. It’s unfortunate that the Matt Harvey innings limit was mishandled so. You’d think that the team would have thought ahead a little further. Perhaps even the Met’s front office never expected to make it this far?
Nevertheless, Mets fans will get a taste of the postseason for the first time in 9 years.https://www.myfantasysportstalk.com/mets-finally-make-it-back-to-the-playoffs/https://i0.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Mets.png?fit=1024%2C1024&ssl=1https://i0.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Mets.png?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1AnalysisMLBRecent Posts#MLB,#Nationals,Baseball,Mets,WashingtonMets Make it Back to Playoffs Its been a magical 2015 season for the Mets.
